It seems like it has been raining for 24 hours straight so I brought the boys in this morning for a thorough grooming and then I left them in their stalls for the rest of the afternoon. The svelte Brothers Johnson are pleased as punch. Pie-Pie, not so much. My mom just phoned to let me know that she gave everyone more hay and refilled their water buckets. She said that Pie is nothing but a butterball. That he is.
Better start building an ark...
ReplyDeleteUgh - it is dreadful! So grateful they have the dry barn for soggy, muddy days and nights like this. I hope Lancaster county is drier than Cumberland.
ReplyDeleteVery wet here too. The mud by the gate where the horses all stand is terrible. I love your mom's comment about Pie being a butterball :)
ReplyDeleteBox of rain is right. Dreeeeeeary. The only good thing about the rain is that it keeps the flies at bay!
ReplyDeletePouring in Glasgow...feels like it has rained all summer and the forecast for September is (you guessed it) more rain, with a freezing cold winter chasing at its tail.
ReplyDeleteThese are the days that I HATE that Laz chooses to stay OUT inside of walking in his dry stall. Especially when it's dipping down..... eeeeks. So nice that you are the choice for them to dry out a bit. That is a good feeling :)
