Above is a poster I secretly designed for our niece, Emma, for graduation. This is of her jumping her lovely horse, Max. I thought she just might need something to spruce up that dorm room in the fall!
I was thrilled to easily find a poster frame that fits the 11" x 17" poster perfectly.
Another new development on the poster front...my first advertisement is in the July/August issue of Young Rider! Of course, I am freaking out with excitement!

And...I finally got my act together and worked on the page links at the top of the blog. Hooray! I have been meaning to do that since March. Blogger sure knew what they were doing with these page gadgets - they are completely addicting. I happily worked on them all afternoon!
Love your new header and the poster gift of Max is too cute!! Congrats on the ad, too. I hope you get lots of good biz!! You are so talented.
ReplyDeleteThanks Pony Girl! You are the first to comment on the header - I don't even think my family knows I changed it - you are an artist too, so you notice things like that! I think the girl in the painting looks like you!!! I should have made the gray a spotted boy. lol.
ReplyDeleteI sure miss you and your blog - I bet you hear that all the time! I hope your school year is winding down and your shop with your mom is doing well.
how exciting!! Good luck with the ad.
ReplyDeleteVery cool poster - I'm sure she will love it!
ReplyDeleteDo you do posters of other pets/animals also? My brother has a pet memorial service - that is, cremations for pet owners. He is always looking for options to give grieving pet owners who want touching ways to memorialize their pets. Maybe he could link to your Etsy on his website? Would that be ok? If so I will mention this to him.
ReplyDeleteHa Ha! "cremations for pet owners...." What I meant is, cremations for PETS. Hee hee, silly me. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Fantastyk Voyager and Jennifer MacNeill-Traylor!
ReplyDeleteHosanna - lol about the cremations for pet owners! Ha! Yes - please do pass along my name and website and etsy shop. Tell him to link any to his site - I would sure appreciate that - yes, I am branching out to do dogs and cats and all pets! Thank you so much!
Oh she will LOVE that poster...who wouldn't!?!
ReplyDeleteThat poster looks so fabulous! Juliette, you have arrived. An ad in a magazine? That is so neat. You are so wildly successful--professor, bareback rider, racehorse rehabilitator, painter, posterist!! Don't you look in the mirror and giggle with glee? You should!
ReplyDeleteKristen - thanks for the kind words about the poster. I had a lot of fun designing it! And about you riding your ROCKET bridleless, halterless, bareback - I think you will be doing that before you know it! That Laz might see spook demons sometimes, but he sure does adore you. That is what I see in your pictures! Also, about the roses...yes, they love full sun! They are called New Dawn (the easiest, do nothing, look great variety).
ReplyDeletebaystatebrumby - (Blushing now) You are so sweet - I do giggle with glee, but not because of anything I am doing, but because I am so fortunate - (also because I am kind of funny looking!) These blogs are so good for the soul. Often times I look at my life and grumble and then someone kind like you helps me to see it through new eyes. Thank you for the ego boost - I sure needed it this afternoon!
I still need to pick out photos (sorry!) - love the poster you did for Max!
ReplyDeleteKate - Thanks! Anytime you are ready I would love to design a poster for you!
ReplyDeleteI loved that one framed Juliette! I still get the occasional shocked person that sees mine at work and says---"wow, how did you find something that looked so much like you?"!!OH!
ReplyDeleteI have meant to say something about your lovely artwork header this whole time too....!LOVE it!
CONGRATS on Your advertisement!Really cool~

The poster looks awesome. I'll bet she loves it.
ReplyDeleteGreat poster. What a wonderful gift. I hope the ad in Young Rider sends lots of business your way. Those are precious posters you are personalizing for the recipients.
