such a long, long time to be gone and a short time to be there

We are home now and, as always, it seems like we were gone forever yet our Florida time was so short. I miss Red and I thought about her Spanish Moss nibbling sounds the whole way home. What a nice Thoroughbred! I hope everyone at Lakeview Stables is doing well.
Last night I spoke with the Thoroughbred Rescue contact at Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation. The two geldings are coming the last week in January!!! Just in time for my 42nd birthday! What a wonderful present!
